As a fiduciary manager, Syntrus Achmea assists administrators in determining the investment strategy, risk management and compiling the most effective investment portfolio. Every step, from advice to purchase, is fully transparent. Scenario calculations, clear-cut reports and regular monitoring enable the fund administration to maintain a grip on all processes.
Asset Manager Selection
Syntrus Achmea has built up a lot of experience and expertise in selecting and monitoring external asset managers. Syntrus Achmea currently manages more than € 20 billion for clients, through nearly 100 external managers (approximately 40 managers for liquid assets). These assets are spread across share products, fixed-interest products and various alternatives such as Private Equity, infrastructure and raw materials.
Investment philosophy
Syntrus Achmea applies a number of basic principles for the development of investment products. Together, they form our investment philosophy. The basic principles are based on scientific research, practical experience and future expectations. Our investment philosophy focuses on the financial markets, comprehensive balance sheet management and the structure of investment portfolios. Our aim is to make these principles and beliefs as durable as possible.
Strategic Pension Management (SPM)
Fiduciary Management, Asset Manager Selection and Strategic Pension Advice form part of the Strategic Pension Management (SPM) department. It was our deliberate choice to fully separate this department from our Asset Management department. As such, Syntrus Achmea guarantees independent and transparent advice.
